Kanye West has been dancing around his fashion line for years. It started with a Louis Vuitton sneaker collaboration, and a season full of front row appearances. He rapped about fashion, said he wanted to intern and swore he was researching a budding brand. It was more common to see him at a fashion party than not, and he spent the last fashion month in Paris
seeking advice on factories and production. Now Grazia reports that he’s finally ready to show the world what he’s been working on. West has allegedly opened a studio in London and sought guidance from Central St. Martin’s professor Louise Wilson, the same one who’s mentored Alexander McQueen, Giles Deacon, Alber Elbaz and Christopher Kane, among others. And whatever he’s whipped up—a women’s ready-to-wear collection—he’s apparently ready to show the world. If it happens, we imagine it’ll be done
Tom Ford-style as West seems particularly sensitive to fashion criticism. Stay tuned!
