A big congratulations is in order for
Diane Kruger and
Joshua Jackson! They recently celebrated their 5 year anniversary and as you probably know, that is quite an achievement in La-La land! Diane is currently in Paris shooting the movie “Farewell, My Queen” based on the life of French Queen Marie Antoinette, and she decided to take advantage of the fact that she happened to be working in the most romantic city in the world. They arranged for Joshua to fly in, and then they went to a romantic dinner together and gave each other gifts.
Diane says that even though it’s hard being in long distance relationships, there are a few methods to make it work. She said, “Life is more important than work. We just celebrated our fifth anniversary. We met up in Paris, gave each other gifts and went to dinner – it was just lovely being together.
It’s hard sustaining relationships at a distance, but if you want to be together, it comes down to that. And I have had failed relationships because of a lack of commitment to that.
We have the three-week rule – we have to see each other, otherwise you drift. But we also enjoy our independence. We have our own lives and have a lot to bring back into the relationship because of that. I’m very independent. I’m not sure how I’d deal with someone who wanted to be with me 24/7.”
